PORT FACILITIES:
The port's overall area is 274,816sq.m. including 168,160sq.m.
of operational space. There is both railway and driveway to each berth. The port possesses
10 piers (pier #10 for berthing and unloading fishing-boats).

(*) While calculating lifting capacity of shore crane you need to take into account crane's outreach consisting of desired outreach over a board and distance from crane's rotation axle up to vessel's board which is about 9.3-10.0 m, depend on pier number.
(**) During trans-shipment of containers weight of spreader clamp 2.8 mts to be taken into account.
Every pier is equipped with electricity-powered cranes. Piers #1,2 and 8 are serviced by "Sokol"
cranes, and piers # 3,4 and 5 have "Albatros" cranes.

STORAGE CAPACITY:
The port's sheltered storage area amounts to 8,876sq.m., its open
storage area being 50,830sq.m., and its awning area - 1,700sq.m. Motor vehicles can be stored
in a warehouse of 16,933sq.m. For storing grain, the port has special floating structures of
the capacity stated below:
USEFUL INFORMATION:
RADIOLINK
The master will pass a notice of the ship's arrival
over to the ship-owner's agent care of the Administration of the port and all those
concerned 96 and 12 hours prior to the arrival indicating the expected local time of arrival
and the vessel's maximal draft. At least two hours before arriving at receiving buoy #2,
the master will also have to inform the Port Inspectorate about the clarified ETA on
channel 16 VHF. Buoy #2 is located at the beginning of the approach canal.
VHF connection is provided round the clock by the radio station "Berdyansk Radio".

WATER DENSITY
The water density is approximately 1008. The water salinity is 11.9.
FUEL
Bunkerage is possible in limited quantities. Fuel is
delivered either aboard by special tanker or onto berth by tank-trucks.
AIRPORT
The nearest airport is found within 15 km from the port. It is temporarily closed.
TIME ZONE
From October to April - GMT +2. From April to October GMT +3.
HOLIDAYS
New Year's Day (January 1); Christmas (January 7);
International Women's Day (March 8); Easter; International Day of Laborers (May 1-2);
Victory Day (May 9); Independence Day (August 24); Anniversary of Great October Socialist
Revolution (November 7-8).
Loading can be carried out on those days.
DISCHARGING GARBAGE
Special metal containers are placed on the pier next
to the vessel by the port refuse disposal service. Once the containers are filled,
they will be replaced with empty ones.
DISCHARGING BILGE AND SEWAGE
The port possesses a special vessel capable of receiving
340 tons of bilge and 86 tons of sewage into separate tanks. Any waste will only be
pumped over through hoses of the above vessel. Mixing bilge and sewage is strictly forbidden.
A request to be serviced by the special vessel is submitted to the agent. Every ship
must discharge sewage before leaving the port. The cost of discharging sewage is included
into the sanitary dues on Berdyansk port with no regard to the number of approaches the
special vessel has to make.
